World Wu Shu Cup
The team of the club "Gold Snake" takes part in different competitions and championships regularly. The competitions can be of different levels: between clubs, open tourneys of a club, Moscow and Russia championships, international competitions and festivals.
Many boys and girls became winners of different competitions in their categories.

2 April, 2006 Moscow Wushu Competition (SMAA.R version) was held in Moscow. The teams of 7 clubs from Moscow and Moscow region took part in the competition. Three clubs - Golden Snake, Ying Dao and Sinsan - represented South-West of Moscow. These clubs won about half of all the medals (24 sets of medals for 24 events were fighted for).
For the club Golden Snake medals were won by Maslikhina Nadezhda (a gold and a bronze ones), Sheshukova Ekatherina (2 silver medals) and Trofimov Alexander ( a bronze medal). Sportsmen from Ying Dao won 23 medals (9 gold, 5 silver and 9 bronze).
Traditionally a small wushu show forewent the oficial events. Such shows make any competition more festive. An original program was demonstrated by a show group Success from Golden Snake. The children from the youngest group (the youngest participant Shkitina Aliona selebrated her 6th birthday a few days ago) performed their compositions as worthly as their elder comrades. Basic elements were demonstrated separately and in sets. Their using was performed in a small scene. Some turns in taijiquan technique with fans and arms was demonstrated too.
The represents from the other clubs also demonstrated interesting compositions and turns.
That was our second participation in the Cup. Teams from 40 countries took part in this championship. All styles of traditional (martial) and modern wushu (kung fu) were demonstrated there. Our team was in a body of Moscow clubs which represented Russia. Members of ever club could take part both in traditional and modern programmes (one athlete in one programme). All our athletes became winners and were awarded:
Asya PLATONOVA (9 years old) - a gold medal for tao lu chanchuan
Katya PODOPRIGORA ( 9 years old) - a gold medal for tao lu siaohunchuan
Sasha MIKHNO (9 years old) - a silver medal for tao lu (traditional)
Timur MIKHNO (11 years old) - a silver medal sanda
Sasha TROFIMOV ( 13 years old) - a silver medal sanda
Team's show programme - special awards for the most original compositions: different sets, a beautiful dance with Chinese fans (girls), duelan (boys) and a special composition in style michuan fan (T. Bruk).
